I was feeling pretty great, other then my lack of sleep! Saturday the 6th I went and stood in line for 2 long hours that morning to register Conner for pre-k for the 10-11 school year. It was such a nice day out, so Roy, the kids , Roys brother, the dog and I went to Murray Park in Little Rock later that afternoon and enjoyed the weather, I felt good! We came home, I made dinner. I went and ran 3 miles after dinner, felt fine! Roy, his brother and I were all watching tv and I fell asleep on the couch that night, I woke up at about midnight to a contraction, Roy noticed and made a comment about " braxton hicks contactions? " I said yea and I went to my bed while they stayed up. I noticed a few more through out the night that I woke up to, but did not think anything of it. I had my alarm to get up to get my shower in for church and get the boys ready, but my body woke up on its own about 10 minutes before my alarm was suppose to go off to a strong contraction. At the time, I really wasnt even convinced they were 'real' contractions. I layed there for a bit, told Roy I was having bad pains all night. I timed the 'pains' bc I still wasnt convinced they were even contractions even tho they were debilitating and they were 4 mins apart lasting 45 seconds, I got up to attemt my shower. While I was in the shower I was in soo much pain, Roy could hear me and came in and said Lindsey we are not going to church today are we? I told him yes we are I am fine. Anyways I was still trying to get ready and I was falling over literally all over the place but still was not convinced and I was telling Roy to get the boys ready bc I was taking too long. Roy kept on telling me Lindsey you are in labor, I kept telling him no I'm not. I finally convinced myself I was in labor when I started bleeding really bad and my contractions were less than 2 mins apart . I yelled for Roy to help me finish getting dressed bc I couldnt myself, and told him we needed to leave right away. I made him grab towels because I thought there was a possibility of having the baby in the car! lol! Anyways, I'm sure we would of humored anyone watching. I was yelling at Roy to drive fast then when he would drive fast I would yell at him for going fast and he needed to slow down..lol! He was pretty nervous bc I had to my legs up on the dash and I told him I really felt like I needed to push and he was panicking saying "oh my gosh , oh my gosh, please let us get there" ( I'm sure other drivers were wondering what the heck?! )! Well we did make it to the hospital, I went from 8cm to 9 1/2 cm within being checked right when I got in , to not even 20 mins later. I was told to not push bc my Dr. was almost there, as soon as he got there I pushed for about 10 minutes and Carter was born weighing 7lbs 7oz and 20.5 inches long! He had a ton of hair, much to our suprise! This birth was completely different, even though the back labor was horrible I'd prefer a quick birth anyday over what I had the first two times around!
